Serene Time(series), 2022
In the sculpture "Serene Time" the moment of a melted candle is reinterpreted. Time is required to melt and transform the original form of a candle. It reminds us of past moments. A wax candle melts from top to bottom. With reinterpretation and translation into the digital manufacturing process, the melting process is reversed. In the 3D printing process, the material is heated and when melted, it is built up into a three-dimensional sculpture from the bottom up. Different colors of material can be seen. The color is a border, and shows that conscious intervention in the printing process and the design of the objects in the printing process were influenced by the artist. Each object shows the individual traces of melting.
